594553 2007-09-24 20:57:00 Hi all, cant anyone tell me how to embed a logo to an html signature, as everytime I try and save the file it creates a folder containing the *bmp\*jpg, which then when used in the e-mail signature doesnt include the logo!. SolMiester (139)

Had a similar problem with a customer & Outlook 2007 wanted his picture in his signature - he is a real estate agent - html didn't work -

Had to create a New Stationery then set the stationery as default. Worked perfectly.

As I put in the answer -

Any reason why you cant use stationery ? - I did a lot of searching and found nothing as well, untill one site suggested stationery - and it worked great.

The Logo / picture was like a small clear banner along the bottom, with the guys contact details. Do you need to have a html link as well someplace - Eg: to a web site?

594557 2007-09-25 00:21:00 Hi Wainuitech, yes, tried New Stationery, I would use as blank if it helped, which it didnt.

A number of comments about on forums related to this, but as you know, they seldom have the answer.

I'm downloading SP3 for 2003, will see if that helps. I'm not sure if this is a html issue as when word saves the signature created as an html file, it doesnt end up as 1 file, but the file + bmp/jpg or other formate is a folder at the root of the folder containing the saved file. This is screaming to me that the format is incorrect.

Yes there is a hyperlink to a web site, and e-mail addresses, + disclaimer and logo!

594558 2007-09-25 03:54:00 Shouldn't need to tell ya this- But make sure you make a restore point Before with SP3 - Office 2003. I tried updating mine a few weeks, back - then spent 3 days trying to get outlook and Word to work correctly again:annoyed:

What is annoying is the instruction that MS give regarding using the html while look easy on screen don't appear to work.

594559 2007-09-25 04:07:00 Hey bud, didnt bother with the restore point, oops, however havent noticed any issues as yet.

Still not working, have since created a html e-mail signature using front page which DOESNT create the folder behind the files, however, 2003 still refuses to show the logo\image$#@!#@$#!@

So, trying Outlook 2007!

I may have to deploy 2007 as an upgrade of the weekend.!

594560 2007-09-25 06:06:00 Hi Bud, I don't think OUtlook 2007 is much better.

Just tried mucking about today (waiting on Cases to arrive - Can't work without them) and seemed to have the same problem. What is strange is its easy to do in either Outlook Express or Windows Mail ( Vista) - So called Basic email programs.

But Have A Look At This (office.microsoft.com) - Don't know if you have tried it yet, or if it will even works or if its exactly what you want.

594561 2007-09-25 12:00:00 Okay, have it running in 2007, the template was created and saved to a network location, when the signature saved as *.htm it doesnt take a copy of the image file with to the users profile where the signature files are keep. I had to edit the code for the src=image.gif in the htm file in the users profile.

Lets hope its the same for 2003, however it makes sense!
