594258 2007-09-23 11:34:00 I've been asked by a customer to recommend an email client and browser for his Mac system. It's obviously not my area of knowledge, so any recommendations would be appreciated, thanks. Greg (193)
594259 2007-09-23 11:45:00 I'd recommend Firefox and OS X Mail (for OS X at least). gibler (49)

A couple of options:

Browsers:

* Firefox
* Opera
* Safari

E-mail clients:

* Thunderbird

Hope this helps :)

594261 2007-09-23 12:02:00 Yeah it's kinda ironic - the only time someone wants to hear from him he can't respond! :lol: Greg (193)
594262 2007-09-23 12:24:00 If they are using OS X they will have Safari and Mac Mail installed both are good. They can also download and install Firefox and Thunderbird as good alternatives.
If they are using OS 8 or 9 browser support for these operating systems has practically ceased but Netscape or IE if it can be found should work.

594266 2007-09-24 05:54:00 For the majority of people, Safari and Mail are the best options. Firefox is handy to have installed as a backup (if a site doesn't load in Safari, or you need a more advanced feature not in Safari). I suppose Entourage and Thunderbird would be the second and third best alternatives to Mail, but once again, they are not as user friendly (in my opinion, not hard to use, just not as enjoyable to use). maccrazy (6741)
