2007-09-23 10:49:00 | This has been an ongoing issue for months now and Ihug appears blind to it. How many other Ihug users are having problems with pages failing to load or timing out? :angry :angry :angry

2007-09-23 10:57:00 | Its ok here on dialup. Altho it was slow as for 2 days. Sites were crawling. BUT nothing was timing out. I did the same thing, when things started to crawl. I rang ihug. As usual they said it was my prob. I know, it had nothing to do with me. As things were fine the day before, and last week. Ihug need to get people who know what theyre talking about on their helpdesk! Coz the ones I spoke to, knew nothing. I'm pretty sure Ihug USED to send u an email after, to see what you thought of their service. lol, well this hasnt happened twice. I wonder why. Must have been the reply, I gave last time they sent one.

2007-09-23 11:12:00 | it has been slow lately... a while ago they decided i had somehow dloaded 2.5GB in one day (mid-month) and capped me. i was going to call and demand my money back but got lazy and procrastinated, and when i did go to call i checked and they had removed that usage and put my speed back up for the last 2 days of the month - no notice to me or anything. i left it to see if it might happen again and instead i got the opposite; i actually used all 5GB within 3 weeks and never got capped. that next week was spent constantly downloading "to get my money back":D it has been a bit painful this week; OE is failing to check my inbox pretty often (works the second time though), pages not loading the first time etc but, a speed test (and netmeter) tell me my connection is around 1.2Mbit so i don't know why it's being such a dick...

2007-09-23 11:14:00 | I've had that problem for months as well, at least until I gave up on Ihug and moved to another ISP. A friend of mine has just got broadband with Ihug and gets the same problem. If you hit refresh, it will reload the page OK.

2007-09-23 11:44:00 | Yes this has happened with me for quite a while - seems particularly bad on the pf1 pages lol - I have mentioned to them also and got the same response "my computer . . . . " international speed is down too - the last few weeks for me have been 600-800 kbs compared to my usual one to one and a half megabits (I'm semi-rural ) "they'll get a tech to look into it . . . " Yes they did use to send "rate the service" emails, but I too have not recieved any requesting my rating for my last couple of "queries" made to the "techs" at the help desk . :)

If you hit refresh, it will reload the page OK . I posted on this problem over a month ago and noted how it appears to be NZ and in particular Auckland sites . It happens all the time with PF1 and NZcity . I can not recall a problem with off shore sites . Refresh works most times . |

2007-09-23 21:46:00 | Don't think it is just an IHug issue as we are getting the same thing at work and they don't use IHug. | Big John (551) | |
2007-09-23 22:04:00 | I have encountered this problem, but not all the time. It only seems to be at peak times that this happens, mostly my speeds have been ok. It does seem to be getting a lot slower at the peak times though.
