| 594143 | 2007-09-23 07:49:00 | HTM and HTML files on my WinXP (SP2) laptop have recently adopted a "unknown application-type" icon (as per this image (www.imagef1.net.nz)). Not sure what I may have installed or uninstalled that might have caused this... I have tried going to Windows Explorer>Tools>Folder Options + File Types tab to re-link the file type icon to Opera (or IE), but it doesn't seem to want to adopt a new icon. When I double-click files of these types, they open with Opera without hesitation, so Opera is definitely associated to the file types. Just won't show a different icon. Any ideas?? |

| 594145 | 2007-09-23 11:34:00 | Cheers Jen - tried each of the solutions noted. TweakUI just reduced the colours to 16 bit. ShellIconFix did nothing. Changing the theme did nothing. Had a search for the ShellIconCache to delete it, but couldn't find it... The problem is only with this file type, no other.... |
