I wasnt going to pay for it before, because I didnt have a phone on my line. They also dont charge 99 for the connection, whereas Ihug do. And most probably most of the other ISP's. And Xnet dont charge 41 for the churn fee. |

| 594596 | 2007-09-30 21:00:00 | online games are fun and all... For some of us, Online Gaming is our life. I don't care if I can never access another you tube video, or download another aXXo torrent, or any of that, but if I could only get CONSISTENT pings lower than 100 to all the servers I play on - then I would be happy. A ping of 300 from Nelson to Wellington is NOT acceptable. |

| 594597 | 2007-09-30 22:12:00 | ah lol i hear ya. the main reason i dont play online games. like BF2 or F.E.A.R anymore is because my main PC blew up and we now have woosh wireless which sucks for gaming. I can play WoW on woosh but still getting pings of 600 to a server in wellington. which is crap. and main reason i want to get nDSL when its available. |

| 594598 | 2007-09-30 23:46:00 | Only thing stopping me going to xNet is no capped calling on their VOIP service. Slingshot do this but yeah, it's Slingshot... xNet nDSL + VFX w/ capped calling would be heavensent. |

| 594599 | 2007-10-01 01:50:00 | I'm currently on Xtra's Explorer plan and as most of you know, the speeds I'm getting have been quite dissapointing especially during peak hours . Bugger . . . . . I just signed up to that plan :stare: Still, it's gotta be better than dial-up . . . . |

| 594600 | 2007-10-01 01:53:00 | Anyone got any comments to make on Orcon? Was gonna go with them for BB, but after sending two emails and not getting any reply except a comp-generated jobbie I gave them away as not interested. Yes, I could have rung but preferred to send an e-mail. One way to test service standards.... |

Sounds like Ihug, when I was them, the only thing that answered emails, was that bloody annoying Smiley lol. In the end I gave up. And moved ISP's. |

| 594602 | 2007-10-01 03:29:00 | I'm on xnet as well. Got that because I didn't like that $10 tolls thing on other ISPs and because all the gamers recommend it. I've got Full Speed DL and 128k UL capped at 15 Gig. There are 4 of us at times using the connection (wifi'ed it to the father-in-laws place). Download speed (up to 5megs) is great but things slow down on us at times (bottle neck is upload not download). Would consider going to full speed up and down but can't stretch the budget..... Mind you, if they offered 256k upload.... |
