594373 2007-09-28 03:38:00 It's good. Get the CdBurnerXP Professional version - it's free.

I have Vista - would it still work? The Ahsampoo one seems to have worked - I've just burnt two disks off very easily, but I did try to overwrite one (it said you could) but it said the disk wasn't empty and wouldn't write to it so I had to use a new one.

I still think it must be something wrong with their system as I have been doing nothing differently and none of my other clients are having any problems.

594374 2007-09-28 04:02:00 The old company obviously didn't use Macs but this one does. But it doesn't explain how they can open one disk, but not the other three that I have sent! I know years ago I used to work for a newspaper in Christchurch and I had a Mac so they provided me with Apple file exchange software so that my disks could be read by their software.

Will I need to do something to allow my PC disks to be read by their Macs or is there anything they can do at their end? Obviously all my other clients use PCs or have some way of opening the disks in any format.

If they are using Macs you need to burn the disks at the ISO setting so that the CDs can be read by either PC or Mac.
as for CD burning software for OS X you can use the CD burner that comes with OS X or you can use Roxio Toast which suits most Mac users which allows CDs to be burnt for use on both PC and Mac with all the standard settings.

You would be surprised, at a previous job we used to courier CDs across town all the time.
