594940 2007-09-26 05:01:00 Why do people do these updates???!!
If its not broken, then don't fix it.
Regardless of what MS says.

I actually tried it on only 1 Workshop PC as a customer was also having problems and I didn't know if it was her PC or the Patch. So I tested it - ;) & it caused problems. If a workshop PC gets Munted who cares, just reload the Image and away you go.

The PC's I use for "office work" have the Auto updates disabled.

Be cautious of Office 2003 Service Pack 3

This is an update to my past wariness about deploying Office 2003 SP3 across your company too soon.

A Microsoft white paper (www.microsoft.com) documenting the details of Service Pack 3 was released on Oct. 5, which you should read. In my own testing of this service pack, I've already found some problems.

One of my tests involved a workstation with parts of both Office 2003 and Office 2007 installed. The situation got so bad that a repair install of Office 2007 was required. Trying to open a Word document from my SharePoint 2 site caused IE to unexpectedly close when launching the word processor.

Bottom line: I caution you to go slow on deploying SP3 widely.

594942 2007-10-12 16:35:00 The Excel 2007 calculation bug fix has now been released.

Info and the download (32.5 mb) is here (support.microsoft.com)

I dont know what this does (support.microsoft.com)

BUT, looks like its only needed, if Office SharePoint Server 2007 is installed. Its not the same fix as above.

If you dont know what Office SharePoint Server 2007 is, you wont have to download it.

594943 2007-10-12 20:11:00 Strange but i am on vista with office 2007 ultimate and of course vista update demands that i download the office 2003 sp...

Ok I did have office 2003 on a few months back but they can fark off. I am not installing a sp for a product I no longer have.

Stupid pricks at ms yet again, the ex apple employees must work in the service pack department.
