| 594348 | 2007-09-24 00:02:00 | Here is an email that I sent to IHUG yesterday ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have just finished talking to your help desk with very unsatisfactory results. I have just discovered that the unlimited Dialup Plan has been reduced to $20.00 from the existing $24.95 that I have been paying for a number of years. I have no idea how long this has been the charge, but I think it is very poor that clients are allowed to continue paying the old price without being advised. The guy I talked to said that they could not change the price automatically because there were changes to the terms and conditions. If that is the case, how hard is it to send an email advising of the new pricing and to go on site, read the new terms and if happy with them, make the change. He did not have an answer to that. Saying that it is our responsibility to check the web site and discover it ourselves is extremely poor customer relations. I have been a loyal customer for many years and I find this type of tactic to be very dissapointing, and to be honest it feels like blatant overcharging. I am very tempted to contact both Consumer and Net Guide as I wonder how many other customers are continuing to be overcharged $5.00 a month without being aware of it. I feel that you should be prepared to front up and credit the $5.00 per month since this has been in effect. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Since then I have spoken to several friends that were also unaware of the change. |

I have just found the reduced charge has been in place to 2 years a friend in AKL was unaware of it, rang and did his bun He got a credit of 3 months so I tried the same and after 30 minutes was more or less told to bugger off. No compensation |
