595794 2007-09-27 19:49:00 Have 2 linux OS's and one goes in to text mode part way thru the boot up and runs a wee while then halts with the message "File system check failed press cntrl D to continue".If I do the os loads ok.I have a couple of other problems and I suspect a bios problem but do not know where to check. kjaada (253)
595795 2007-09-28 11:55:00 Heya kjaada. Thanks for the Linux advice last time. :)

Just wondering, what did you mean by "If I do the os loads ok."? (Pardon my penguin ignorance should this be a well-known Linux sentence) :p

Cheers :)

595796 2007-09-28 17:39:00 I meant if I "push cntrl D" then the boot up continues and all is good kjaada (253)
595797 2007-09-28 19:23:00 Has it been doing this from the start, or did it happen after a system lockup? What was the messages just prior to the file system check failed and what partitions were involved? Jen (38)
595798 2007-09-28 19:29:00 Hi Jen,I have just sorted it.It was due to me having 1 of my disks set as master
and another was set as secondary master.
Cheers
