| 595580 | 2007-09-27 05:29:00 | Every time I try to install any windows update it downloads all 55 updates but yet none install. It did the same for windows installer 3.0 and (Bits) 4.0 so I installed manually and worked fine. But I am in no mood to install all 55 updates manually Hope some knows how to fix this problem this is a fresh install of windows 2k then updated to sp4 |

But I am in no mood to install all 55 updates manually Hope some knows how to fix this problem this is a fresh install of windows 2k then updated to sp4 This patch from Microsoft may help its for windows 2000 Here (www.microsoft.com) I also had a problem with updates not installing on an XP PC, would download and then error's. Dial A Fix (wiki.djlizard.net) sorted it out when selecting MSI - The Microsoft Installer service (MSI) and WU/WUAU - "Windows Update/Windows Update: Automatic Update. never tried this fix on Win 2000 but the program is designed for 2000/XP. Pays to read the instructions on the page provided. |

| 595583 | 2007-09-27 08:31:00 | thanks but tried both programs and still no luck HMmmmmmm Bit odd, that dia a fix includes many of the manual fixes that MS have for problems - OKay - also found This On MS Site (support.microsoft.com) May be of some help, has lots of reading - and some will have been done with dial a fix. Was there any sort of Error messages? |

| 595586 | 2007-09-28 05:00:00 | This (www.eweek.com) Sound similar to your prob? I read Rollup 1 for SP4 had bugs, and should be avoided. I think MS were going to issue another Rollup. Dont know if they did, I've never seen it. |

| 595588 | 2007-09-28 07:36:00 | Note this is for XP not 2K but if you are desperate it might work. From the article in SlashDot about Stealth Updates from MS, here: pressf1.pcworld.co.nz Go to my last post today. "At the command prompt, type the following commands, press ENTER after each command, and then click OK every time that you receive a verification message: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wuaueng1.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 wups2.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuweb.dll Once that is done, you'll be able to use Microsoft Update again."
