595277 2007-09-26 23:50:00 I have a 17" cmv presently that I have been using to play online 8 ball at Play89 .com.
For the best picture the site recommends 800x600 resolution which works fine with my monitor.
Wanting to get a larger monitor, either a 20/22 lcd or a 21 crt but don't know if 800x600 will be possible using these larger sizes?
Any advise here please ... Thanks:)

595278 2007-09-26 23:53:00 800x600 would look pretty crappy on any monitor.

I can select 800x600 on this 19' LCD tho.

Cant see why you cant select it on bigger monitors. Thats if the drivers are installed.

I agree!
800x600 shouldn't look good but try it yourself at that site, it is clear as crystal?
Thanks Speedy:)

595281 2007-09-27 02:49:00 Does the software not allow you to play at a higher res, or within a window at the recommended res? SolMiester (139)
595282 2007-09-27 05:51:00 Yes, you can play at what you wish, but playing at 1024x768 (for instance!) makes the pool table and balls very small and ideally you need the sizes as large as your monitor will allow.
800x600 makes the table fit my 17" screen perfectly and I am hoping this will be the case with a larger monitor:)

Absolutely, as long as GFX card supports it and you have even very basic drivers, it will be fine. Get a nice 22 incher:thumbs:
