| 595656 | 2007-09-30 02:17:00 | I guess what the likes of SJ have run into with WMP11 is the sneaky little option in WMP setup that says "Automatically acquire licenses for my media"... I ALWAYS make sure to remember to disable that option, and I don't have any problems with WMP11. (PS: try doing a custom setup instead of express setup) |

| 595658 | 2007-09-30 04:00:00 | I really have no issues with WMP10..it does what I need and synchs my Palm and Sansa well with no hitches. Since I keep just the minimum program files in the <root drive>, my WMP isn't near my XP install...and I will check that auto install or license acquisition device..thanks for the heads up. That makes it easier to find all the vestiges of it when I need to repair or remove it in the future. I'd like to stay with v10 as long as I can, but I feel those days are numbered. MPAA and RIAA rules and M$ will find some way to bollix it all up I think. |
