| 595571 | 2007-09-27 05:07:00 | I'm looking for an application that will let the user present a picture on an external monitor/projector while she/he is lining up the upcoming pics on the native screen. Imagine something like DJ or Karaoke software but for pictures. This will allow me to provide pictorial support to a lecturer that tends to go off on a tangent, and it can be truly impressive when no matter what questions fly at him we can provide explanatory/accompanying images with his answers. I'm aware iphoto can do this but is there a PC solution?> Thanks in advance Digikiwi |

| 595572 | 2007-09-27 05:10:00 | Have you tried looking in Google? I take it Vista doesn't have such a feature in the Vista Photo manager thingy? Good luck getting a PC version of iPhoto ;):p |

Or is there a whole new genre of presentation needing to be catered for here? Judging by the amount of previous posts on this forum relating to the topic of musical slide shows on your PC - I think the answer was that you need a combination of apps to do it. You might want to search back through the forum threads. I think Beetle was the first poster to ask earlier on this year. To answer your second question...yes, but don't expect it to come from Microsoft for a while - and Apple is unlikely to port iPhoto over. iPhoto 08 has just had an update to, although I use iPhoto 6 :) won't be getting the update. |

| 595575 | 2007-09-27 05:35:00 | Thanks for your insight Winmacguy, I'm not looking to throw music into the mix but rather am wanting to "mix a live slideshow together with images only". But my efforts so far haven't gleaned much. I'm stunned no one has done it yet (except for them thar savvy Mac people). |

Ease of use in managing your photo collection since Jan 2002 might have something to do with it. iPhoto 08 is looking pretty nice, as is iMovie 08 |

In the Slide Show screen, you can compile pictures into a slide show and add transitions and background music. You can add comments to individual pictures on a second audio track. In the upper right area in the media area, you can search on your computer for the required media files and import files to then add them to the compilation. In addition, all transitions are listed in groups. BUT, you may need a plugin (which may not be free) for some options in Nerovision. This burns whatever pics / sound etc to cd or DVD. |

Yes it will, but they want to do it with out burning a disc. |
