| 595244 | 2007-09-26 09:09:00 | I have just purchased one of these graphics cards Asus EN8600GT Silent Video Card, GeForce 8600 GT, 512MB, DDR3, PCIe-16, TV out, DVI, HDTV ascent.co.nz However when it is under any load, such as moving a window with the aero theme on, or running a 3d screensaver, the card makes an annoying buzzing sound. This can even be heard with the case closed. This is a card without a fan and is supposeded to be 'Silent', so I have no idea what could be causing the buzzing, but I suspect it is faulty. Anyone have a similar card without a fan, and should it buzz? PS. Its gets very very hot too. Possibily hot enough to burn if I left my hand on the heat sink. |

Check the nVIDIA website to see if you can download a temperature monitor from there if you don;t have one already though there definitely should be in in Control Panel under nVIDIA. |

Certainly it is very annoying. I have downloaded the nvidia temperature program and it shows it up to 60 degrees after 10 minutes |

| 595253 | 2007-09-27 05:11:00 | I have downloaded the nvidia temperature program and it shows it up to 60 degrees after 10 minutesIt should not be making that at only 60°C... I have purposely stopped the fan on my 8800GTS untill it hit 100°C and it made no sound at all... | The_End_Of_Reality (334) | ||
