| 596780 | 2007-10-01 05:42:00 | i have this folder GAC_32/System.EnterpriseServices/2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a and i can not delete it says Error "Unsupported operation" while deleting "/media/20...f11d50a3a". now it is only a folder left over from a windows install. I have tried this on Fedora and Ubuntu thus far, can't remember if i have tried it on widows yet. am trying to figure out why it is an unsupported operation. but am at a loss. its left over from manually deleting the windows folder after destroying it as my OS. is it sitting in the trash currently. which is a step up from Fedora which would delete it but then it would recreate itself instantly. is rather annoying. and dont really want to format to remove an empty directory that takes up no room.:D |

| 596781 | 2007-10-01 06:27:00 | Tale ownership and then delete it: You should be able to boot XP in Safe Mode (press F8 before Windows starts). Right-click on the folder and click Properties. Click the Security tab, and ignore the message (Click OK). Click Advanced and click the Owner tab. Choose your name from the Name list. Tick "Replace owner on sub-containers and objects" and click OK. Click yes to the warning that appears. Hope this helps. |
