Hi guys, does anyone know how to recover data from a laptop with a bung screen? I don't have the dreaded black screen, mine flickers a little on start up and I hear and see the windows logo pop briefly, after that it flickers a bit more but then the screen goes dark green. I think it is probably ready for me to log in but because I can't see the screen I can't click on anything or can't see where to type. I just want to recover some data from it, does anyone know how I could do this? Is there anyway I could plug another screen in to it? |

Remove HDD and slave to another computer. If it has port for a separate screen try one |

Don't I need a special adapter or something to connect to the HDD to do that? It's an older computer too which probably isn't going to help. |

If it is not Serial ATA, you would need a 2.5" IDE cable which converts to normal 3.5" IDE or you could get a USB enclosure for it. |

I wonder if it might be the graphics card on the way out? |
