| 1414034 | 2016-01-05 19:47:00 | Went in yesterday to look at tvs. Nothing great in there. Went to jbhifi and there were stickers on I would say half the tvs saying ask for a jb deal. Great I thought so asked. $50 off the ticket price of most. Not what I would call a deal. Then offered extended warranty for $20. Told the guy I was only interested in cash off not add to the price. Canned the idea of new TV. Didn't need one, just looking for a bargain. Will stick with NL have a good relationship with a salesman in lowerhutt. Spent a lot of money over the years with him and always gives a decent discount off sticker price when no sale is on. | plod (107) | ||

| 1414037 | 2016-01-05 22:56:00 | It was understandable that DSE stopped stocking components, home hobby electronics was fast disappearing. However they appeared to lose the plot somewhat and the last few years haven't seemed to know what direction to go in, so it is no surprise really. They couldn't compete with online computer component sales or the local toaster shops either. Poor customer service does seem to be a common theme. I have only been in the local shop on odd occasions when I needed something in a hurry, but have not been impressed with service. |

| 1414040 | 2016-01-05 23:44:00 | Well my thoughts were that they displayed a huge lack of Product Knowledge. Firms like Bunnings on the other hand, be it here or Australia, seem to always have somebody with good product knowledge and able to offer advice. Just my experience. |

Difference is, Bunnings is a switched on outfit, where as Since Dick left there has been a downhill trend. |
