1419888 2016-05-01 09:28:00 This is a copy of a post of Wainui's

Run a couple of repairs first. Open a CMD by typing cmd in the search, right click it, then type in*sfc /scannow*<Press enter> see if it finds any faults. If it does and fixes them, then retry starting, if it finds faults but cant fix them, then run the following command*Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

If it asks for the location of files, make sure you have a W10 DVD or USB drive with W10 on it. then run the following command.

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:wim:E:\Sources\install.wim:1 /limitaccess

Where it says wim:E: change the drive letter to what ever the USB or DVD drive is. When its running it will generally appear to stop at 20% This is normal, it will carry on its own.

1419889 2016-05-02 03:00:00 Hi there and thanks for all your help. I tried all suggestions and got nowhere. I finally found a link to Microsoft tech help chat line. Their tech, Carlos, did a remote hookup and tried various things himself but finally admitted that he was unable to solve the problem. Result was a new download and re install of Windows 10. My computer now seems to work perfectly. Lets hope it stays that way phatman (1352)
