| 1413821 | 2016-01-04 05:25:00 | Darwin was a plonker who appeals to the simple minded who can't grasp the notion that there is actually a supreme creator more intelligent than themselves. All credit to Roscoe for reminding us of how fantastic this world is, and what wonderful hope we still have for our futures. |

We are living in what is called the “habitable zone.” False. The distance of the Earth from the sun varies between 147 million and 152 million kilometres. en.wikipedia.org |

| 1413824 | 2016-01-04 08:09:00 | Yes an interesting topic but remember as recently as 2000 years ago, according to the Bible, Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Palestine, a country where people are named Mohammed, Abdul, Mounir, Aziz, Ahmed, Farid, Omar, Youssouf, Mouloud, etc . And yet He managed to find 12 friends called John, Peter, Paul, Phillip, Mark, Thomas, Luke, Matthew, Andrew and Simon . . . who all drank wine! According to a recent reconstruction of Jesus' facial features, skin, colouring, and hair, He is now seen as being a typical Palestinian thug . So what happened to the depiction of His being dressed in flowing white robes (impervious to the desert terrain and harsh sunlight, the dust and mud) . With Aryan blue eyes, American style white teeth and designer tresses topped by a halo? It's a bit like discovering that Santa Claus doesn't exist . . . Get thee behind me :devil |

(www.medicaldaily.com) And if you don't want to read that, here's the pic: 6904 Personally, I attach more credence to the theory that Jesus was a teacher from the highly educated and upper class Essene tribe, was married, and after the "crucifixion" carried on His travels eastwards towards India (the Koran speaks of that quite matter of factly). He eventually died and was buried there. |

Looking at what the odds are of something that has already happened as evidence that it's not occurring by chance is ridiculous. The number of possible gene combinations from your parents is in the trillions, statistically you should not have been born. We are perfectly adapted to our environment because we evolved here, the human body is a marvel of engineering mistakes, creation is the cop out for those who lack the understanding to follow the proven science of evolution, there is no evidence for intelligent design just made up pseudo science anyone with half a brain can see through. Consider this, every week lotto is drawn and a number is chosen. There is nothing supernatural or magical about the choosing of the number, but once it's chosen you can look at it and calculate the odds of that happening (about 292 million to 1 I think) and be amazed at the fact that particular number was the one chosen. You can take that sense of amazement and surmise there must therefore be a supreme being who created all things and decreed that incredibly unlikely number be drawn. Or you can just realise that it's a perfectly mundane and ordinary occurrence and that no matter how unlikely any particular result is there still has to be one and accept it for the normal thing it is. (obviously I should have said string of numbers, but it makes no difference to the point) Inability to understand how a thing could be is not evidence for a higher being, just a fact of our limited human capabilities. |

You claimed that a variance of even one kilometre can make a difference, yet the orbit actually varies by 5 million kilometres anyway. I suspect those aren't exact figures either, just rounded. :) |

I have no great concern what anyone believes or not just so long as they do not want to remove my head just because I do not agree with them. |

We are living in what is called the habitable zone . Rubbish . There is a 5 million kilometer difference between earth's aphelion and perihelion . The rest is a result of evolution over time . It's amazing how people's point of view can be so phenomenally skewed by their own position . |
