1414604 2016-01-18 00:56:00 What cause blurred vision that alternates between the eyes. Some days one, some the other, not bad blurring and no other symptoms. pctek (84)
1414605 2016-01-18 10:53:00 dry eye syndrome? Kame (312)
1414606 2016-01-18 18:44:00 dry eye syndrome?

No symptoms associated with that.
I said no other symptoms.......I have googled and found nothing with blurry in alternating eyes - especially with no other symptoms.

Have to endorse the dry eye answer though as tops in terms of what we see on a regular basis.

However, the absence of stinging or irritation puts an element of doubt to it.

Plain old Eyestrain still may be a factor.

Then maybe neural issues, which are more common with women.

1414608 2016-01-18 20:58:00 I have similar issues occasionally and the doc thinks it's related to high blood pressure. I also have a few tiny ruptured blood vessels in the back of my eyes which are not a problem but likely caused by the same thing. Was expensive finding that out though. It definitely has happened a lot less since being on medication for blood pressure and attempting to improve my diet and exercise. dugimodo (138)

Might I suggest seeing a real Doctor?

1414610 2016-01-18 23:14:00 Thanks Paul.
He had his retinopathy exam today, (all good) and she said in passing, he had some myopia now. So eye strain is a possibility; now he says looking a TV from over far couch is a bit of an issue.

Geez, I've had myopia since I was 9, his self diagnosis was "my eyes are f***ed". LOL

Lordnoddy - you don't see doctors, you see optometrists, and it's $70. He might eventually if I can convince him.

1414611 2016-01-19 00:27:00 My doctor sent me to an eye specialist and that first visit was over $500.... I have one more follow up to go and it's probably going to cost $2-300 all to tell me my eyes are pretty good and the blurred vision is "most likely" blood pressure related. Thing is though optometrists can only do limited tests for commonly known issues and it's better to be safe than end up with a permanent impairment that could have been prevented. dugimodo (138)

Really? You went private then.
Gps can detect blood pressure. And send letters to public hospital specialists.

Husband has had blood pressure pills for ages. It's fine.
He also saw a specialist once - he had an infection in the eye, took a bit of back and forth and the trainee specialist was the one that sorted it back then.

1414613 2016-01-19 02:53:00 Avoid black Licorice if you have high blood pressure, something i recently learned. Google it if you don't believe me. dugimodo (138)
