597839 2007-10-04 09:37:00 I am trying to setup a VPU connection to a PC using a D-Link DSL-302G modem and D-Link DI-824VUP+ router.
I have setup NAT GRE (47) in the modem as per manual instructions.
The modem IP is 10.1.1.1 mask 255.0.0.0.
The router WAN is fixed 10.1.1.5 mask 255.0.0.0
DHCP IP is 192.168.1.1 mask 255.255.255.0.
The PC I am trying to connect to is fixed IP 192.168.1.5 mask 255.255.255.0.
At the moment I am forwarding the GRE (47) to port 10.1.1.5 to direct it to the WAN address of the router.
I am unable to connect to the PC from the internet, sometimes it finds the WAN IP of the modem but times out with an error message of checking user name and password or sometimes cant find the modem.
the normal internet works fine its only the VPN from outside connecting thats a problem.
any help,
Thanks John.

597840 2007-10-04 18:54:00 You also need to forward port 1723 for PPTP VPN connections. CYaBro (73)
597841 2007-10-04 23:10:00 Thanks CYaBro,

I have done that as well,do the settings look right to you and my way of connecting the two different hardware to each other,
