597793 2007-10-04 08:01:00 Several ways that can be done : You mention Outlook ?
Is it actually Outlook or Outlook express - they are different.

One is a .dbx files(outlook express) the other is .pst(Outlook)

This article from Microsoft Here explains how (support.microsoft.com). If its Outlook Instruction here (support.microsoft.com)

Just remember to export your address book also.( outlook Express)

The way to do that is open the address book, select file/export/Address book then send it to a location you can burn it from Eg: a folder you create.

Note - Dont open the email and select file/export /address book , that sometimes fails.Open the actual address book and export from there.

Test it to make sure it opens BEFORE you wipe your drive.

597795 2007-10-04 10:09:00 I know this is a bit skewif, but I'd suggest abandoning anything to do with OE or Outlook and go with some webmail server instead. Like Yahoo. But not yahoo & Telecom. (YahooBubble or whatever it's called.) I've been using Yahoo ever since I abandoned Hotmail and never had any probs and only tiny amounts of spam. (1 per month.)

Telecom is just another case of global plundering by immoral opportunists.

Oh OK this is not the right place for judging the behavoiur of telcos.

597796 2007-10-04 21:09:00 Mark, I really don't know anything about this subject, i only have minimal emails coming in, its only used for private use, i am real carefull to who i give my email address to and so far don't have any problems with Outlook Express YET, but i will check it all out as i am really clueless about all this.
Thanks mate,
Rony
