| 597243 | 2007-10-02 19:34:00 | I am looking for software that will allow me to take 500+ folders with 1 file in each and merge them into one folder with 500+ files without having to open each folder one by one and dragging its file into the main directory. Can anyone recommend a software system for this? Preferably free. |

| 597247 | 2007-10-02 20:44:00 | thats a linux command, so if ya using linux it will work. if using windows, then might have to do it manually. | Cho (12330) | ||
| 597248 | 2007-10-02 20:59:00 | Sorry Bletch, I am not really sure what that isUm. Sorry, for some reason I thought Myth had posted the original question - hence the Linux command. If you're using Windows, Cygwin/bash should be able to run that - otherwise I have no idea sorry. | Erayd (23) | ||

| 597251 | 2007-10-02 21:05:00 | It can be found here (http://www.cygwin.com/). It's a basic POSIX environment for windows, the base includes bash and a whole pile of useful tools. You don't need to compile anything for what you are trying to achieve - the installer should take care of it all for you. Don't bother installing X. | Erayd (23) | ||
