| 598442 | 2007-10-06 00:48:00 | I just purchased norton 360 as my norton 2006 internet security had like 10 days left on it, after installing 360 i had to jump onto the internet to download the add-on for parental control. After installing the add-on I came to find out that it a very cheap bit of software that wont let you set different rules for different accounts (So i can block intersites for the kids that might be bad, but be able to look at whatever i choose through having two user accounts in XP). This was a great feature in 2006 internet security. After being in a queue with norton chat support for 30 mins, they told me that there parental control only does global settins, not accounts. I explained the reason i brought this product was mainly for parental control ( i mean could get avg, and zonle alarm otherwise for free) they pretty much told nothing they could do, and gave me an e-mail to their manager to raise the question further. Since I brought it from a shop, they might be a bit iffy bout returning it, so i want norton to solve this issue for me Anyways sorry for the rant, but my question is this: Has anyone else had this problem and what were symantec like in helping you, did you get refund? Does anyone know a way round this problem? What other products out there have the virus scanner, firewall, parental control and is decent, (I'm currently live in brisbane, and the shop attendant was trying to sell me something by CA for like $69AU, said would do job of norton but i never heard of it so went with norton) Go the AB's for the world cup looking forward to possible AB vs Ozzies in semi final |
