598045 2007-10-04 21:36:00 Hi there!

598046 2007-10-04 21:59:00 Is this Windows messenger? Its most probably spamming.

If it is get something better / Windows live mesenger.

Either that or you've got adware / malware.

Get rogueremover and do a scan.

598047 2007-10-04 22:03:00 ah gotta love the advertising. use above advice, and then remove whats there. those ads lie and probably give you problems. Cho (12330)
598048 2007-10-04 22:16:00 :D Seen this hundreds of times, it may be spyware, or more than likely Ads attaching themselves to the windows messenger service. Disable it, its not the same as live messenger, so that should work still.

Bet if you downloaded the reg programs it would find many faults and then tell you that it has to be paid for to fix - YEAH RIGHT!! reg is prob fine.

Heres how to disable it.

Windows XP Home
Click Start-> Settings -> Control Panel
Click Performance and Maintenance
Click Administrative Tools
Double-click Services
Scroll down and highlight Messenger
Right-click the highlighted line and choose Properties
Click the STOP button
Select Disable or Manual in the Startup Type scroll bar
Click OK

Then run the cleaner programs speedy suggested if you have not done so yet.

You havent updated XP to SP2, have you? This (among a lot of other stuff) turns off the messenger service (nothing to do with instant messenging), which this exploit uses. IT would be a good idea to do all the other updates too; I see it as dumb and irresponsible going on the 'net without protection, and adding your computer to the 'zombienet', spewing spam/denial of service attacks/worms/trojans/virii etc to the rest of us.
End of rant!

Go here: www.grc.com & download "Shoot The Messenger" & run it, that program will stop those messages (Plus that page will explain all about those messages)
