| 598679 | 2007-10-06 09:22:00 | OK, this is the weirdest thing ive even encountered. recently my computer (windows xp, bought 04) has started playing up. believe it or not, this is what is going on: -pressing the left shift key toggles mute, and in games (such as half life 2) strafes right -pressing the right shift key toggles play/pause in itunes, wmp etc. (these 2 problems are the reason for the lack of punctuation, sorry) -pressing the windows key doesnt open the start menu, but rather opens outlook express -as i just found out, causing me to have to rewrite this, pressing the number pad plus key closes windows. as you can imagine the combination of these keyboard problems is unbelievably frustrating. any help would be hugely appreciated. just to point out, i have scanned the computer with fully updated versions of norton antivirus and ad-aware, to no avail. also the problem persists in safe mode and when i have used msconfig to do a diagnostic startup. Cheers, Sam |
