| 600282 | 2007-10-10 13:10:00 | Firstly there are some auto hijackthis log analyzers at various sites. Easy enough to find with google you have a number of programs in your log that need updating or cutting. Theres an ancient java version in there..zonealarm is well known for slowing things down.. i'm sure speedy will be a long in a min to paste the list to fix. |

| 600283 | 2007-10-10 13:16:00 | Yeah 2 gig of ram!!:D A quad core cpu!! Raptor Harddrives in a raid set up!! Those would be a nice and fast boot up!!! Or you could try PCLinuxOS;) Just joking around, but you need to post your system specs as well, heck you might be running a very underpowered/old computer as you have not told us your system specs. AS for your Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 I cant help you, sorry. |

| 600286 | 2007-10-10 19:24:00 | Run HJT again tick these entries then tick fix checked. Close browser/s. Your second comment: You can post your HJT log at HJTs forum you know and it will tell you. As for slow: Turn off Indexing, turn off System Restore. Make an image of your clean install and use it later when it all bogs down again. All the clean-out software in the world never gets it all. |

| 600288 | 2007-10-11 02:04:00 | I once used a program called bootvis from Microsoft to analyze and decrease the time it takes to boot to WindowsXP. Maybe others on this forum have used bootvis more recently? Been a while since I used it... You can download it from sites like softpedia (www.softpedia.com) Then Uncompress the file. Run BOOTVIS.EXE For a starting point, run Trace / Next Boot + Driver Delays This will reboot your computer and provide a benchmark reference. After the reboot, BootVis will take a minute or so to show graphs of your system startup. Note how much time it takes for your system to load (click on the red vertical line) Then run Trace / Optimize System Re-Run the Next Boot + Drive Delays Note how much the time has decreased My PC went from approximately 40 to 30 seconds. Though not that much... |
