599795 2007-10-10 03:14:00 So I've got two things

A short, small quicktime video.
A Motorola V3x phone.

So basically when I try to put the vid on the phone (with Motorola phone tools and a cable) it gives me unknown video format.

What do I use to convert it to 3gp or whatever else works? I've tried google but all I've found is the dodgey links that claim to do exactly what I want, from sites never heard of before.

I guess to put it simple, what's a good free program to do the converting for me?

Assuming that the Motorola phone you have is the one that can use the iTunes music store (aka the RAZR?)
In iTunes use the File>export option - right after you have used the File>import option to get the video into iTunes .
Just a guess .

599797 2007-10-10 04:28:00 Try this site ( It's a big site, so suggest you start "search our site" by typing in MOV to 3gp. Also check the How to links (e.g. Convert, Articles, etc) on the L/H" target="_blank">www.videohelp.com/)called video help com - It has almost all format to format conversions for video formats. It's a big site, so suggest you start "search our site" by typing in MOV to 3gp. Also check the How to links (e.g. Convert, Articles, etc) on the L column. You may have to convert QuickTime MOV format to another format, say AVI, then to 3gp. kahawai chaser (3545)

599800 2007-10-10 23:11:00 You can also just do a File > Export in QuickTime Player :)

Edit: Oops, sorry, that only works in QT Pro.
