601201 2007-10-14 01:27:00 About the last week or 2(cant be exactly sure), I have been having constant instability with the internet.

Symptoms:
Homepage always loads swiftly, but then when you are trying other pages it can take about 5 trys to load the page.

The internet will 'disconnect' at complete random, differing from hours or even a couple of minutes between each occasion.

A constant Timeout error message when it does disconnect, and the gmail notifier i use will come up with something like Cant find DNS Server.

A Spin to this, the other 2 computers connected to the Router have no problems at all. It just seems to be this one.

Attempts at fixing:
I have completely reformated/reinstalled the computer as it hasnt had a good wipe for ages, considering this might fix the problem.

I have tried manually added the DNS Servers to the TCP/IP Config instead of automatic.

I have also tried using the USB Connection on the Router, instead of LAN assuming it might be a faulty network card.

Checked all the ports had been configured correctly.

Checked the firewall for anything it might have been blocking.

Tried using a different LAN Cord.

Scanned using AVG, Windows Defender, Ad-aware, Spybot Search and destroy checking for anything unwanted.

- All attempts obviously failed.

Other Details:
Speed tests hit 3mb/s downsteam(when its actually working)

ISP is Ihug

Router is a DSE XH1169

Hope someone out there can help,
