| 601057 | 2007-10-15 05:39:00 | Email C1 and see if they can remove the 430W PSU from the Soprano and give a discount on the case. Worked for me before but the PSU was branded. Change the RAM to some CL4 stuff instead of CL5. Might as well get benefits for the same price. SuperTalent CL4 or aXeRAM CL4 (this stuff has dropped nearly $30 today and is only $134) Again change the graphics card to the XFX 8800GTS XXX, it is A: cheaper and B: factory overclocked and even beats the higher up 8800GTS. The rest is good :p |

| 601058 | 2007-10-15 06:05:00 | Haha. And I give a 3.5% discount for eftpos, cash and direct debit. I don't charge 3.5% extra for credit card payments. Not trying to nitpick, but there's a difference. If I go and buy a hard drive from you and it costs $100, it doesn't really cost me $100 if I pay by cash. It costs $96.50, right? If I go to Ascent and buy a computer consisting of a hard drive ($100) a CPU ($100) etc, the price of the PC is the price I pay for the components added together - no more. Same as you, except you don't offer a 2% discount for not building a PC (not that there's anything wrong with that). |
