| 601466 | 2007-10-15 02:32:00 | Couple of PCs are used to access a Citrix online application and it has been working fine until a recent addition of a file server PC . For some reason, the online application keeps dropping out anywhere between 2 to 5 minutes irrespective of whether it's being used . The session appears to stay intact though . To get back to the same state as when the disconnection happened, all we have to do is go to the login page, click and on login button, we don't even need to login again . The remote session will come up as it was when the disconnection happened . Everything else on the network appears to be working fine . All PCs can access the internet at normal speed . None of the users noticed any issues with accessing files on the newly added file server PC (not running server OS, just XP Pro) . The main changes since the introduction of the new file server PC are . . . - Occasionally remote access via RDC or VNC which could use up bandwidth - Increased traffic with everyone accessing files on the server PC instead of local drives . - Fixed IPs on the PCs instead of using DHCP I have been running Microsoft Network Monitor and I can't see anyany strange traffic volume spikes . Any suggestions for a reason and workaround? |
