Thats like bond & bond selling someone a TV and then saying "we don't have any in stock and have no idea when we might be able to give you your new TV but we'll take your money anyway." |

If they haven't paid for it, so how can they be getting a service they haven't paid for? |

| 601461 | 2007-11-27 08:38:00 | If anyone is interested or has comment I am still waiting some 7 weeks after initial application. basically, they can't give you what they don't have to offer, although one would think that they would put in enough hardware to manage ever address in the area, especially in greenhithe where i imagine there would be a pretty high proportion of people wanting broadband and satellite being the only wireless option for those willing to pay the hideous cost ultimately all you can do is ***** and moan, but have you tried signing up with xtra? i would be genuinely not surprised if telecom suddenly found a slot that way, and as soon as it's working change over to your preferred ISP never hurts to try |

| 601462 | 2007-11-27 19:15:00 | Hi, I'm apparently on a waiting list also so I don't know what the wait will be. I've been quoted anywhere from 1 week to 6 months. Cheers You will be on telecoms lowest priority. Obviously they will want to give out available connections to telecom customers first. Sign up with telecom, when you get the line, then change to Ihug. |

| 601463 | 2007-11-28 03:39:00 | It may not be the actual exchange that is full.I have spoken to someone that lives in Greenhith and he says the exchange has free ports, but if your adsl feeds from one of the roadside cabinets, the chances are that this is what is full. The exchange has only just has an ISAM installed,so there should be plenty of free ports there, but most of the cabinets are full, and it depends where you are, as to when Telecom has planned to upgrade that particuler cabinet. | Peter Coleman (597) | ||
