| 603054 | 2007-10-19 07:54:00 | im curious, just to try it out I have just tried to shrink my main ntfs partition using the vista disk tool under computer management, it is about 50% free space (about 40gb) however vista wont let me shrink it at all (available shrink space = 0b). Any ideas what might be causing this - I tried moving all the 'unmoveable files' ie the page file to another partition, and deleting the hibernation file however this didn't make a difference. Given that vista won't work I will use gparted instead as I had initially planned but i was curious as to why vista refuses to shrink it. |
