| 603040 | 2007-10-19 06:01:00 | Friends, I had a free trial of Office 2007 Home and liked it, so I bought the boxversion. Question is: do I have to uninstall the trialversion on my computer before installing the new bought version (Office 2007 Pro) ? I do not want to go through the pain of moving all my pst files etc etc before I reinstall ? Cheers Johan |

Give it a shot, and if it fails, then you will just need to install the boxed version over the top of the trial. |

But the boxversion is more complete, it has access and also the businessmanager in outlook. Would love to just install it over the office on the computer, but will my pst files be safe and will the regisrty not get problems/slow down? |

The new install should overwrite the existing files easy enough. I have used the Trial versions on many customers new PC's and when they want to purchase it, simply install the correct new product key to unlock the "Time Bomb" on the trial. Only time it went belly up was when the customer wanted Home & Student after having the trial of Pro installed , it didn't like that, so it was remove and reinstalled. |

Not too sure - I upgraded from a trial version of Pro to a licenced version simply by entering the licence key, and haven't had any issues. |

Don't know who installed the Original then, as the Pre-Installation Kit (OPK) Masters I have install every thing complete, only difference is one has a Trial product Key the other is a Purchased full product key. Shouldn't ( hopefully) give you any problems. As mentioned before, export your PST file first and if it does cause problems nothing lost. |
