I would think it may be a little late to ask after you paid for it.

602156 2007-10-16 06:26:00 You sure that price is right with those spec's ?

Retail price of Vista Basic is around the $420.00 mark
Basic Viewsonic 19" LCD is around the low $300 mark, thats close to $720.00
RAM around 100, same for HD & CPU (each) - sounds either a good price or they undercharged you.

Was it built for you and OS Installed as well?

602159 2007-10-16 06:45:00 Windows Vista home basic (Retail) $400
Celeron D 2.9ghz (motherboard brand is MSI) $60
1024 DDR400 Ram (CL3 2X 512) $80
Seagate 160G IDE Hard drive with 8mb cache $70
ATI radeon 9600 pro 256Mb AGP $100
19inch ViewSonic LCD monitor $300

$1010+$120 on bits and bobs (that includes a case).

I'm a bit perplexed as to why Vista is on it. Being a Pentium D I would of expected XP. If the Vista really is retail then it is $400 otherwise it is OEM and is $130.

602160 2007-10-16 07:03:00 What about the price for the Motherboard & the price for a Case - Not going to get a case, PSU,motherboard, keyboard, mouse speakers and Headphones for $120.00. Not NZ $ anyway.

Where are you quoting those prices from any way - I'm a reseller myself, and some of those prices are below the wholesale price most system builders would pay.

Most of it is not even produced anymore, second hand + 20% seems to work ;)

And you would be surprised. The cheapest motherboard goes for $55, Case w/ PSU $50.
