| 602671 | 2007-12-10 02:01:00 | DVB-S2 is a long time away for New Zealand. I see mention of some people on that NZ MediaPortal forum making use of DVT-T in conjunction with Discq. That is a bit beyond me but take a look at the forum. I think it is when using multiple TV cards and multiple satellites. I have the Hauppage 4000 model and a pvr-350 in my PC. |

| 602672 | 2007-12-27 00:30:00 | I have a Hauppauge HVR 4000 and am in the process of setting up media portal with tv server, i have got to the stage where i am scanning for DVB-S channels on tv server but i cannot get it to pick up any channels! There may be a problem with my satellites.xml or freeview.ini when i only have freeview in satellites.xml the tv server does not show my dvb-s card and when i add freeview to the end of the existing satellites.xml list it shows it in tv server but cannot pick up any channels on it. Also perhaps my lnb settings are wrong i think i have a new 10750 lnb as it was replaced recently and is an oval shape what settings should i use in tv server. Any help would be great thanks. | hazza87 (12499) | ||

Could you post the satellites.xml and freeview ini files you are using for us to have a look at? |

Unlike Windows Media Center, Mediaportal does allow you to use more than one type of tuner. |

| 602678 | 2007-12-28 00:49:00 | I have added both cards to the list of tuners and i tuned the DVB-S via the edit and autotune button but i dont see where to tune the analogue tuner | hazza87 (12499) | ||
| 602679 | 2008-01-08 20:56:00 | Here is where i currently am with software: Have tried power cinema, win tv and media portal with and without tv server. Currently Win TV picks up all freeview channels fine using manual scan of the 2 freeview frequencies as well as using correct lnb settings for me 107500000 low 0 switch and 11300000 high worked i followed these instructions of another post here. But win tv displays all analogue tv channels with no audio as well as fm radio. Cyberlink is unable to pick up DVB-S channels have applied all the patches and registry changes still no luck may try again though with instructions posted above, it does however pick up analogue and fm radio channels ok. Finally media portal currently picks up freeview channels perfectly without tv server but not with it. followed the instructions here www.geekzone.co.nz i am still unable to get it to pick up the analogue channels via just media portal though it shows the analogue part of the card it says unable to create graph when adding it and then gives no tuning options when added. |

| 602680 | 2008-01-08 21:03:00 | Any help getting analogue and also fm radio set up in media portal would be useful.Don't mind using media portal on its own or tv server as long as it works. Currently in just media portal it gives the message unable to create graph when adding analogue portion of tuner card then no tuning options. I think this may also be why the radio does not work after manually tuning stations i know work on the card ( through other software ). Also i find the current version of media portal sometimes crashes on minimize and maximize which is quite annoying. I am running windows vista home premium 64bit with all latest drivers for sound video card and tv card. Running media portal 0.2.3.0 with latest svns installed. | hazza87 (12499) | ||
