| 602661 | 2007-11-05 01:46:00 | Mediaportal all up and running sweet again. Hauppage WinTV v6 also running with all Freeview channels. WinTV can only record one at a time but since it sees both my cards it can record from Sat Dish, Aerial or Composite from Sky/HDD recorder and send any back to the TV. Mediaportal can record several channels at once. (Now if only there was something decent to record) Is it worth switching to Windows XP MCE 2005? I can probably get a new OEM version from my supplier. |

| 602662 | 2007-11-05 01:50:00 | I've got an HVR3000 hooked up to a Sky dish running on a new XP install . Do you want WinTV up and running off your Sat dish, (I used the new version, not the UK edition) and it seems to work ok . Should work with your HVR3000, it works with my HVR4000 and also my PVR350 Set the LNB's Switch 0 is fine, then change to Manual settings and scan each of TV3 and TV1 details . LNB: lo osc . 10750000 hi osc . 11250000 TV3 and C4 freq: 12456000 s/rate: 22500 Linear_Horizonal (have to manually scan this freq with wintv) TVNZ freq: 12483000 s/rate: 22500 Linear_horizonal |

Handya has the 4000 model (see the thread a few days ago about SKYTV for his comment) ... I suggest you PM him or something about it. yeah, i have it its great, im going to get another one, so that i can watch all freeview channels @ once :P, its hdtv for satellite, and im hopping it will work for hdtv terrestrial next year i would recommend Media Portal, it can be a little difficult to setup but once it is going its fantasic |

| 602664 | 2007-11-05 10:16:00 | hay a bit of topic but its along the lines . . . i have a hauppauge winTV-PVR-150MCE TV tuner . i set it up etc it all works fine, but the pitcure is relly fuzzy and not nice, im useing it throught a tv aerial . . just wanting to know if it is the card which is makeing a qual bad or is it coz im useing a tv aerial, its on the roof and its not a cheap one the main TV is perfect, but when i run from the spliter box to the pc its not good . . my pc is a full spec gameing pc so i dont think the pc it self is the issue . . my question is, what can i do to get good tv on my pc? Or what can i buy that will make it better . . . to get better reception . Thanks . |

| 602665 | 2007-11-05 17:09:00 | handya if your card supports DVB-T and you have a UHF aerial then probably yes. bricky111 Check all your cables connections. I have a splitter on my aerial and a cable running to the PC and my analogue channels are all fine. TV1 is far clearer on the PC than on my TV in the other room. |

Is there a place where threads can go to be easily accessed?? (Not a sticky, obviously). Anyone who has any questions whatsoever about TV tuner cards/freeview/etc etc should see this thread, it is a mine of information. Special thanks to Pete and Bantu. |

| 602669 | 2007-11-05 20:26:00 | bricky111 No sorry no more ideas. Maybe try switching the cables at the splitter. TV lead to PC and visa versa. I wondered about doing that myself as I have had two faulty splitters in the past that Sky Techs have found and changed. wratterus no problems. I am still learning also so any new info here may be of help. The TV Cable guy that did some wiring here recently said that I have an old Sky UHF Aerial laying up in my ceiling. Maybe I can hook that up for future DVB-T next year. Might work if I can get it lined up properly, or I call back the expert:-) |

| 602670 | 2007-12-10 01:54:00 | As a matter of interest the Hauppauge HVR 4000 states on the box that it will recieve hi def DVB-T if available as well as DVB-S2. This information does appear a bit hidden though so interesting to see if it works in march as im planning on getting one! | hazza87 (12499) | ||
