604082 2007-10-22 04:50:00 samething as last time hapenned to my pc again, the thing just froze on me so i turned it off for a while. then nothing showed up on the screen/signal wasnt getting to monitor. i put a speaker in and it just does a long beep that didnt stop when i turned it on. i tried pulling out and putting in the video card like last time but it didnt help. deathracer (11825)

Each time it checks something it sends out a beep code (which is why you hear a random series of beeps when you first turn it on).

If something is wrong the beeps, or lack of them, can tell you where the problem is.

I found this in google by looking for "post beeps". There are lots of other pages using this search term.

He would use 10 years of fault tracing experience to quickly trace the fault.
Also he has the spare parts to swap out to confirm the fault.
He would have seen this fault many time before.
