603398 2007-10-20 15:23:00 Hi there!
I was doing the, er, Autumn clean up on my computer when I noticed I have 234 folders with 1,634 files in them marked with "$NtUninstall" then a few numbers/letters after that! All in the 'Windows' folder!
What on Earth are they and can I 'dump' them please?
Many regards.

603399 2007-10-20 16:03:00 I think theyre the uninstall folders / files for the hotfixes / updates.

Only thing is, if you delete them, you cant uninstall any updates, if you want to in add/remove programs.

I think thats what the option in ccleaner is for (under cleaner / windows / hotfix uninstallers (its unticked by default)

Correct, thats why the are hidden folders:D

603401 2007-10-20 21:35:00 Dump them.

Trying to uninstall hotfixes will be more dodgy then installing them, Besides, If you had to uninstall a "fix" you would have done so by now.
