603223 2007-10-20 01:49:00 I'm currently stuck.

I want a good router, like the D-Link 4100 but it doesn't have an inbuilt ADSL modem and since i am on ADSL thats a problem.

I was wondering if it would affect the performance of the D-Link 4100 by getting it and a separate ADSL modem and using it as the ADSL modem connected to the routers WAN port?

This would be mainly used for gaming.

Any idea's, Suggestions? :help:

Edit: URL for the router = games.dlink.com

Thanks

603224 2007-10-20 02:38:00 First...I don't game...so take this as you see fit.

I run on DSL with a router (Linksys BEFSR41) and a Westell Wirespeed Modem...and they are separate units....and as such I don't think there is any deterioration in speeds...not that I can tell anyway.

Sounds good to me.
