603083 2007-10-19 21:50:00 I need to send some information to a relation in the UK.
I have the info on MSWorks database.
She does not have access to MSWorks
My usual method is to print the info out and then scan the hard copy into jpg format.
This seems a clumsy method and I would like to cut out the printing and scanning if possible.
I don't know how, and welcome any suggestions.

603085 2007-10-19 22:10:00 Grab one of those free PDF print drivers (say PDF995 for example), and instead of printing to your printer, "print" to the PDF driver. It'll create you a nice PDF file which you can then email to your relative. somebody (208)

Silly Jamuz, why didn't you think of that? ><

603087 2007-10-20 19:52:00 Thanks for the suggestions chaps.
I had considered PRINT SCREEN but decided against it.
When I ran the database I found there wasn't as much information wanted as I expected. So I selected the required amount, and used Ctrl C and Ctrl V to drop it into my email. Although it wasn't as tidy as a proper database would have been it was OK. Of course all the other information contained in the database was absent but it has probably done the job.
Once again thanks and I must try the free program you mentioned - seems good - but will it accept my database without corrupting its layout?

It'll be just like printing to a normal printer, so if ti prints correctly onto paper, then it'll print to PDF correctly.

603089 2007-10-20 20:12:00 I use Office but have had problems with family members using MS Works for documents that I've converted for them to send on. And I've saved my documents as .rtf so they can read them.

Can't help with Works databases though but I can make a couple of suggestions:

- See if Works will export it to something like Excel
- See if Works will export data to it's document part and save as .rtf
- Google "MS Works converter" and see if you can find something that will work.

Microsoft, and probably other companies, make things called Converters and Viewers so that others without our programs can read our masterpieces.
