| 603980 | 2007-10-21 22:12:00 | It says "olymipic" 400watt if that is what ya need I know those olympic 400 watts, gold label, 10A on 12v.. so damn light it wouldn't hold down a piece of paper ATX but has a plug for monitor? They are a joke. a very bad joke. my PSU (enermax) is also 400 watt but has 32A on 12v. I would not try to push that PSU to "just" run anything, most likely it will explode. As for your game being slow, I would put that down to your gfx card mostly. |

| 603981 | 2007-10-21 22:16:00 | It should make a large difference, however due to your other hardware being a bit older, it's possible it wouldn't make such a large difference as you'd expect. Perhaps some others who have done this kind of thing on similar hardware will have a better idea just what kind of performance increase you'll see. It's very hard to judge it exactly. I said "just" about your PSU, what Agent_24 said was a bit closer the the mark lol. The only thing with buying an AGP card at this stage is if you decide to upgrade soon, you'll probably lose a bit of money on the card. |

Then click on scan the system and save a log. Post the log here. We'll see if you've got anything nasty. You tried prevCSI? one for your tagline |

| 603983 | 2007-10-22 07:00:00 | ok 256mb . . . . . how much if a difference will that make to my gaming? Password, the WinFast A340 you have now is a FX5500 which was a very poor card for gaming even when it was first released (in short a hunk of junk) . If you could put 512MB of ram on your card (which you can't) it would still suck . Most of you problem is not a quantity of video ram issue, rather a Graphics Proccessor unit (GPU) speed issue . You have 2 options 1 . Upgrade to a Better AGP card GeForce 7600 GT 256MB, AGP $200ish or maybe GeForce 7800 GS 256MB, AGP $350 ish 2 . A substantial upgrade to make your system PCIE which will basically mean a new system, as your ram won't be compatible with the new PCIE board and prob CPU etc . The problem with option 1 is, you will struggle to run the latest games at nice resolutions, ie . Bioshock/Crysis etc, so biting the bullet might be the better option . Really all depends on what your future gaming plans are . . |

| 603984 | 2007-10-22 07:01:00 | Am i aloud to post links? oh well will my PSU run this G card? i am looking at this www.tigerdirect.com The card you linked to is PCI express rather than AGP. Better to not try and push your PSU. A 7300GT would probably be your best bet. |

Nope there are AGP version of the 7600GT if you are talking to me. www.nzoczone.com www.pricespy.co.nz And his 400watt PSU is probably fine for a 7600GT, the 7300 is a poor choice. |
