I have broadband running into a small office lan/server/router set up and was getting appallingly low speeds 200 Kbs. After blaming my ISP and Telecom I finally got our wiring checked out , we had a few unused extensions hanging off the main line and some slightly dodgy connections, got them fixed and hey presto 1.8 MBs. The telecom faults guy was great and told me Broadband speeds are very sensitive to local wiring in your house/office any dirty connections or too many extensions will cut the speed down. A couple of Telecom recommended test sites www.worldnet.co.nz/support/speedtest/ www.nzdsl.co.nz/index.php?module=Speedtest Richard |
