605684 2007-10-26 22:43:00 When my XP pro is Hibernated for several hours the Internet connection disconnects from the computer and will not reconnect until I do a full boot. Router is DSE 4 port which works perfectly otherwise. Resetting the Router does not help. mzee (3324)

605686 2007-10-27 01:05:00 it's probably more likely a power saving feature of the network card.....goto controlpanel/system/hardware/device manager then scroll the list till you find network adaptors then clik the + sign beside that heading then you'll see your network card listed ..........double clik that listing then goto the um......'advanced' tab I *think* .....(trying to tell you this from memory as this comp doesn't have the facility i'm telling you about) ......anyway ONE of those tabs will have power management functions for your network card......UNtick 'allow the computer to turn off this device to save power'...... drcspy (146)
