Hi people,

I'm an older Internet user and have just struck a problem.

I use Firefox 2.0.8 and Win 98SE for my e-mail and limited surfing and up to a week ago that was absolutely fine for me. I have a Pentium 3 with 128Meg RAM, which works fine for what I need. So I don't want to update the O/S, I just want a simple machine for quick browses on the Internet and for e-mail.

Now when Firefox loads some pages I get an "icon" like picture with a Round blue circle with an upward blue "finger" going from lower left toward upper right. This is placed where some "pictures" would have appeared on the Web page in the past at that point of the screen.

Today a pop-up appeared saying Quick Time plugin 5.0.2 has caused an error.

I have spent some time looking at the Apple site and Firefox to see how I could get that plugin updated. No luck!

Can someone more experienced help me in getting the plugin updated?

Thanks for any help.
