606121 2007-11-05 19:25:00 Here's what i'll do.

Just downloaded brontogui and it removed 2 registry entries relating to the virus.

It's 10 PM here,i have school tomorrow and i gotta go to bed,but if it detects the virus again i'll install f-secure.

606122 2007-11-05 19:58:00 Where did Avast say it was?

Is it in the System Volume Information folder?

If it is, disable system restore, boot into safe mode, open my computer, go to tools / folder options.

Select show all files / untick hide protected files.

Right mouse on the System volume information folder / properties.

Security tab. add button. Type in the name that appears at the top of the start menu. Then click on check names, if you typed the name in right it'll appear .

Then ok then tick everything under allow.

Then ok. Then double click on the System volume information folder. Delete everything in it. If you've got more than one hdd or partition, do the above for all of them. Then reboot. Then do a scan with Avast.

See if it picks anything up then.

606123 2007-11-05 20:00:00 Nope.

It was in it's usual location,Documents And Settings (Data Bobo.exe,My Videos.exe,My Pictures.exe,255 something.exe).

606124 2007-11-05 20:22:00 Go to that folder and delete the files.

If they come back (or wont delete), then disable system restore.

Boot into safe mode, and do what I posted before (delete the files in the System volume information folder), and the files in Documents and settings.

Or whatever folder/s Avast is telling you, its in.

What option did you click on when Avast detected whatever?? Delete?

606126 2007-11-06 16:00:00 I can't find the infected files.

Even if i check do not hide system files and folders, the files don't appear, but the infection does.

So do i install f-secure or whatever?

Any 100% solutions?
