606100 2007-10-28 19:26:00 I am in Romania,RDS (Romanian Data Systems)

I have installed ccleaner and have done two scans today, everything is perfect.

By selecting all options under utilities do you mean clicking on each of those and re-setting what it asks me to reset, like home page and stuff?

Ok that ip entry maybe need then

Yup select each one, one after the other. Till you get to the last one (reset windows explorer policies)

606103 2007-10-28 19:42:00 Have a read of this (www.sophos.com)

Does regedit open??
Speedy Gonzales (78)
606104 2007-10-28 19:44:00 Read that just now.

Start - Run - Regedit

Opens no problem.
Luppi (12974)
606105 2007-10-28 20:32:00 Should be ok, do another scan with AVG.

Altho AVG does pick up false positives.

606107 2007-10-28 21:45:00 Welcome to PressF1 LionDancer,

Can you please start a New thread with your problem, Doesn't pay to add a different problem to an existing thread .

BUT Just had a look at your log - The hosts file is riddled with bad things .

Download This File, Brontok Remover ( . sophos . com/support/cleaners/brontgui . com" target="_blank">www . sophos . com) Save it to a folder, double click it and run .

Go back to the start of this post # 2, and follow through what was put to clean out your PC . Then repost the Hijack Log .

One added thing - back up any data you may have before you start - looking at the logs this may get nasty . Almost every thing in 01 - Hosts - is nasty .

606108 2007-11-04 10:10:00 Soooooooooooooooooooooooo.

GOOD NEWS!

The infection is back.

Repeated all the steps you guys told me to,updated and scanned with all the programs one by one,no malaware/spyware/trojan found. It's the same Brontok.C,i added it to the vault when discovered, then deleted it and did the scans, now everything works perfectly again,i can download, run registry checks and run executables without it re-appearing.

Here's my latest HJT log for analysis:

606109 2007-11-04 14:13:00 I would check the website www.sophos.com and check all the locations they say are infected etc in files and registry and check these and if they exist delete them

Probably best do it in safe mode with no internet connection too
