| 605776 | 2007-10-28 02:37:00 | Maybe I'm putting my thermo sensors in the wrong places...is there anywhere specific. I have on tucked in near the hard drive and the other near the graphics card. In answer to your question Pete...they are only three pin headers. Thanks again for your help This might be a play on words - but do you have thermo sensors ON the hard Drive/ Graphic Card or Near them. Most of those sensors need to actually attached to the components, being "near" them means its working from air temp, not hardware temp. Have a look at page 63 of your manual Download for manual (dlsvr01.asus.com) 3.7Mb But Here it is (www.imagef1.net.nz) any way. |

I've had the temps turned right down on the thermo sensors but but they still didn't activate. Maybe I'm putting my thermo sensors in the wrong places...is there anywhere specific. I have on tucked in near the hard drive and the other near the graphics card. In answer to your question Pete...they are only three pin headers. Thanks again for your help Looks like I need to simplify things for you! Fans that use the traditional 3pin header aren't physically capable of varying their speed via software/BIOS! If you wish to use this feature of your motherboard then you need new fans! If you wish to limited the speed of your fans you need to invest in a fanbus or wire in some variable resistor to physically adjust the voltage going to the fan! |
