2007-10-25 23:39:00 | It seems that a recent firefox update may be upsetting something at the trademeserver . At least that's the only explanation I can come up with . Or maybe it's a firefox plug in update . I'm using No-script, Adblock and run NOD32, Spyware doctor and Spysweeper . When trying to open trade me I get the oops there's an error screen, and the tab says "500 internal server error" . Curiously I can go to sell and can list an auction but can't get anywhere else on the site . IE works fine . I'm starting a new thread on this because I'd like to know how many other folk are having this problem currently . Cheers Digikiwi

2007-10-26 03:07:00 | If you are running the latest NOD32 you may find some weird problems cause its weirdddddddd Narrrrr rubbish:lol: I got Nod32 completely upto date - Firefox updated and opening Trademe No worries. Did a search on Google for the 500 Error and firefox Here is one answer A 500 is a webserver error, not a browser error. If you get a 500, it means that you are reaching the webserver but it is saying "I am having problems and cannot process your request" Same problem different site and fixHere (www.pcnet-online.com) Foot Note: I,d Love to have that yellow smiley that the user Karl has in his reply from that site .

2007-10-26 07:16:00 | I keep hearing how GREAT Firefox is... And yet there are MORE complaints/issues about it on this site than about IE ... IMHO.... I havent done a survey... And considering IE = 85% of the market then I think.... FIREFOX= CRAP! Move to Opera people... its free and easy and works with 95% of sites... but never try to book an airline ticket under Opera, use IE for that.

2007-10-26 08:07:00 | This is a server error, they are probably updating the site or something and the server gives out a 500 error while it's updating or something. You just happened to use Firefox when they were updating, and IE when they're finished. zcc, move your propaganda elsewhere, I booked quite a few air tickets using Firefox (AirNZ, Emirates) and I didn't see any error. More people complain about the government, so should we all move to anarchism or communism or whatever? Heh it's because Firefox that Opera became freeware, before that it was ads, and even before that you have to pay to use Opera. For all we know they can start charging for their next release or put adware or worse in their software. We'll never know, unlike Firefox which is Open Source.

Most people use Firefox and NOT IE so how the hell would you hear complaints about IE? If we did use IE, this place would be flooded with complaints on an hourly basis. Opera? Pfft, over my cold dead body. Get Seamonkey if you want to be "hip" and "different" Oh I have to switch from Opera to IE sometimes? We've got IE tab INBUILT into FF. No switching for us. |

2007-10-26 20:56:00 | The only use I have for IE is to visit the updates occasionally since it's the only thing you can't do in FF | gary67 (56) | |
