| 1416181 | 2016-02-18 06:03:00 | We had 2 accounts, main one with ph, broadband, cellphone And a second, just cellphone. Different billing dates. So after paying the cellphone bill I asked them to merge it with the other and get rid of it as a separate bill. They eventually did. This is the really short version. This started on 18th January. So I made more small payments to the main account - well actually, it is the only account right? Then they generate the main account bill on 24th Jan. It shows pro rata cellphone (to bring it in line with new billing date) and the new in advance charge for it. So the way I saw it it should have gone: Opening balance (all the credit I was in) Big payment to that bill Total billing for the lot Leaving credit. But It shows only one payment, none of the small ones I did. And then says you owe us a small amount of money still. I eventually get someone who says the payment I made to that old cellphone bill zeroed it all. No it didn't, cause it stopped and got moved. So should the payment. Anyway eventually (short version again) I get told, yeah all sorted. Meanwhile logging in to my account and viewing payments - one of them (january) doesn't show at all. Apparently this is meaningless according to them Then they send me another cellphone bill, wanting more money - albeit small. It also includes a charge - specifically One Off Adjustment Charge. So they bill me for this **** too? WTF? Gone back and forth since then and for the last 2 days (after I went to the TDR) have been in emails with a "digital team leader". Who tells me several things: They don't have accounts people They can't give me a statement of account (to sort the whole mess out) My banging on about the current account isn't relevant and the payments I made are also irrelevant to it. If there was a viable choice I'd leave....the only one I'd consider is Actrix and I have seen some bad reviews very recently. Old reviews were good, not the latest. Anyway the cellphone in question is Telecom only and no way could I buy a 2 Degrees compatible one and retrain him to use it so thats out. Stuck with it on Telecom. So...am I dumb? The Spark guy seems to be implying I don't understand but I don't think he does. I created a spreadsheet showing this from my end and asked for one from their end so we can see if we agree or I or them made a mistake somewhere but no....it keeps getting ignored and we go round and round. |

| 1416183 | 2016-02-18 07:31:00 | Nothing new, seems to be quite common in NZ. Years ago, I bought (by hire purchase) a furniture set from Farmers with monthly $xxx installment. Along the line, I over paid them in one of the installments, I rang their accounts dept to let them know and I was told that they will adjust it in the next month's invoice. But some how, they just couldn't get it right for many months since then. I got really fed up with calling them every month and I finally paid them the full amount. That's the way it is. LOL |

All the independents got bought, so there is really only Spark, Vodafone and Slingshot. And 2degrees (who don't do landlines) and Actrix. Thats what I mean. Of the 3 big ones, Spark is probably the least nasty....and I have been with Vodafone. |

Yep that was going to be the next thing. But I gave up on MICHAEL HOLLAND, Digital Team Leader. Went back on chat and luckily I got Susan. She had no trouble at all answering my first 2 questions that Michael seemed unable to do. So I progressed to the billing mess. She took ages checking it out but came back, sorted it, we now agree totally on what remaining credit I have and the old cellphone bill has finally gone away. Good for you Susan!! Thanks for nothing Michael - who told me various things like Spark don't have accounts people, I had no charge listed (several times) then this morning said there was only 1 charge and other unhelpful ****. |
